The short version
- RigWorks Studio is a free, fan-made tool, provided as it is. Please don't decompile, alter or redistribute it.
- Editing saves carries risk, so keep your own backups.
- Save edits can get you banned from multiplayer networks, and that's your responsibility.
- It isn't made or endorsed by SCS Software.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover the RigWorks Studio app and rigworks.app. By using either, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them. RigWorks Studio is created and run by Misterchamp, referred to here as "we".
Using the app
You may download RigWorks Studio for free and use it as provided. You need your own legal copy of Euro Truck Simulator 2. Parts from DLCs are only available if you own those DLCs.
You may not:
- decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the app
- alter or modify the app, or make versions based on it
- copy, redistribute, share or sell the app, or pass it off as your own
Download the app only from rigworks.app or our official GitHub releases. These limits apply except where the law gives you a right that can't be excluded. Open-source components in the app stay under their own licences. All other rights in the app are reserved.
These limits are about the app itself. Skins, mods and models you create with it aren't covered by them, but the rules below still apply to those.
Saves and backups
Exporting to the game replaces your active truck or trailer in the save you choose. The app makes a backup first, but you should keep your own copy of anything you care about. We can't promise that an edited save will work, or that a backup can always restore it.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer networks have their own rules. Using an edited save or local mod may break them. We take no responsibility for bans, restrictions or lost progress on any multiplayer network.
Beta and experimental features
RigWorks Studio is in beta, so bugs are expected. Features marked as experimental, including local mods and skins, may change, stop working or be removed in a future update.
Skins, mods and your content
You're responsible for what you create with the app. Only use images, logos and other material you have the right to use, particularly if you share your work.
Community trucks
If you give us a truck, skin, screenshot or quote for the website, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you allow us to show it on rigworks.app and in our promotion of RigWorks Studio. You can ask us to remove it at any time through our Discord server.
Using the website
Please don't attack, overload or try to get around the security of the website or its servers. Don't send fake data to our usage counters or use the site to break the law.
Trademarks and ownership
RigWorks Studio™ and the RigWorks logo are trademarks of Misterchamp. RigWorks Studio is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by SCS Software. Euro Truck Simulator 2 and its content belong to SCS Software. Truck makers' names, logos and designs belong to their owners, and appear here only to identify the vehicles in the game.
If you own something shown on this site and want it removed, contact us through our Discord server and we'll look into it.
Support payments
Payments through Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary gifts to support development. They don't buy any product, feature or guarantee, and Buy Me a Coffee's own terms apply to them.
No warranty
The app and website are provided "as is", without any promise that they'll be free of errors, always available or suitable for a particular purpose.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost or damaged saves, lost game progress, multiplayer bans, or any indirect or consequential loss from using the app or website.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected.
Your data
Our Privacy Policy explains what the app and website collect.
Changes and ending use
We may update these terms, the app or the website at any time, and may stop offering them. If the terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. You can stop using RigWorks Studio at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in your local courts.
